Arches National Park, UT

Feb 14th 2020

Arches was unbelievable. I can’t believe that I’ve been to Utah probably 50 times and have never even thought to check out the parks in Eastern Utah. Morgan had mentioned when we were in Palm Springs that we should go visit Arches with her parents over one of the weekends when we get back. I said sure but didn’t really think much of it and decided to let Morgan take the lead on this one. It ended up working out with Matt and Jill’s schedules so we drove there in the evening and stayed in a nice hotel in Moab on points, then spent the next full day at Arches.

Delicate Arch was great, but the hike there was a little monotonous and boring, but the final view was really great. A lot busier than all of the other sights but still good. My favourite was just more of the uneventful spots where we could just wander among all of the bizarre formations. In fact, I liked it so much that I decided that I’d like to explore the area a lot deeper and maybe go explore Fiery Furnace that you actually need a special permit for. None of this I could do with my baby and inlaws, so I made plans to come back in a couple days with my buddy Eric. More pictures to follow.
