We can’t seem to get enough of this little lady. She makes everything feel so fresh, like we’re seeing it for the first time. You know, all the usual new parent rhetoric, but it all seems to check out. We’ve finished our official quarantine, so we’re now allowed to go outside, but we’re still not supposed to go and interact with anybody which is really hard. Lots of family here that we’d love to take the baby over to and see but there’s still a lot of fear and uncertainty out there. With the newfound time, I’ve been working on a few personal projects as well as a project for my dad. I’ve been redesigning and developing JondElton.com to include all of great grandpas poems as well as my dads Gems and book of quotes and inspiration that he’s compiled over the years. That’s been pretty fun to work on.
I even filed our Canadian taxes on my own this year! That was a huge accomplishment for me, as the last time I did it on my own, the government told them I owed them 6000 dollars… It was pretty scary, so scary in fact that I just ignored it for years and years and hoped it would just go away. It didn’t, but Natalia at H&R Block helped clear up the mess about 5 or 6 years ago.
Another exciting update is that I’ll be going back to school next month. I was accepted into the Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counselling program at Adams State University in Colorado. It’ll be mostly online so we won’t have to move, yet.
